My Trading Style Swing trading is longer than day trading, but shorter than long-term buy and hold strategies. This medium term trading strategy allows investors to escape the volatility and low profit potential of day trading, while avoiding the dangers of holding stocks long-term in today's fickle markets. I only buy and hold securities long-term when I have a greater degree of certainty about the security. The security in question must display both fundamental and technical strength. I apply a stop loss to protect against sudden changes in price movement. Holding both long and short positions hedges against sudden unexpected market moves. |
